As part of the EU-WASTE Project, we had the pleasure of participating in an inspiring study visit and Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) in Valencia, Spain, hosted by our partners at Municipality of Calles.

During this valuable exchange, we explored innovative approaches to waste management and circular economy practices, with a special focus on the implementation of the Door-to-Door waste collection system in the municipality of Calles.

The study visit gave us the opportunity to learn firsthand about the operational aspects of the system, the incentives applied by the municipality, and the first positive results emerging within the local community. Through discussions with our Spanish partners, we explored how this model could be adapted and transferred to other European contexts, including municipalities in Greece.

Alongside the study visit, we also held our Transnational Project Meeting (TPM), where EU-WASTE partners:

• Reviewed the progress and activities of the project
• Exchanged updates and experiences from each partner’s perspective
• Discussed the next steps and upcoming actions
• Strengthened collaboration towards achieving the project’s objectives
• conducted a SWOT analysis of the project, explored connections between municipalities in Spain and Greece, and identified future opportunities for cooperation and new initiatives.
